Propellerfilm is an independent production company based in Berlin and
Cologne, Germany. The company was founded in 2006 by the two shareholders
Christoph Bauer and Felix Blum.
 
Propellerfilm aims to produce and co-produce per year 2-3 entertaining and
ambitious feature films and documentaries for the international market.
 
Propellerfilm's first feature film, THE VISITOR by Jukka-Pekka Valkeapää, premiered at the Venice Film Festival, has recently won the two main awards
in Göteborg, two Finnish film awards and is sold by Wild Bunch.
 
Propellerfilm is also active in TV production. The company is specialized in
the development and production of innovative, high-quality TV formats. At the moment the company produces a series of documentaries on forensic topics for ZDF Neo.

Christoph Bauer is managing director. He enjoyed a classic journalistic education. Before Propellerfilm he owned Sector 3 Media a TV production company. Christoph is also working as a moderator in German TV.

Felix Blum, who graduated at the International Film School Cologne, has a short but highly successful career as a producer. Each of the four films which Felix
produced won awards and were selected for the main international festivals
(Venice, Berlin, Toronto, Rome).
